Last week I decided to take a hiatus from Facebook and bad news feeds -- and it has been lovely! I'm once again grounded in loving energy, and my light is shining brighter than ever.

If you google 'good news' there is a plethora of hits reporting positive stories that are just as credible as mainstream media's focus on fear mongering and dastardly deeds.

Here are a few that rocked my world, from Rob Brezsny's weekly Pronoia newsletter:

Malaysia establishes a 1-million-hectare marine park. http://tinyurl.com/z9tklx2

Italy passes law to send unsold food to charities instead of dumpsters. http://tinyurl.com/hm9a5mo

Female chief in Malawi breaks up 850 child marriages and sends girls back to school. http://tinyurl.com/zvxtk3o

Howard G. Buffett has spent most of his life as a farmer, with little financial support from his father -- until recently. Now he runs a multibillion-dollar foundation dedicated to ending global hunger. http://tinyurl.com/hosw9pm

There's more good news. Many of you were inspired to sign up for 30 minutes of connected conversation with me, and for that I'm grateful. It's been so good! If you missed my invitation in the weekly Lovecast (sign up below), here is the link to my calendar:

Today I'm opening another door. At 3:00 EDT, today and every Tuesday in August, I'm hosting open office hours for one full hour. As part of my August Love Initiative, and in honor of my birthday month I'm inspired to host conversations about something that matters.

Maybe nobody will show up, and I'm willing to take that risk. Whoever comes will leave inspired -- that's my promise.

The room is open until 4:00 EDT, and you can enter by going here:

August Love Zoom Room

Everyone is invited, so tell your friends. Let's make August 2016 a month to remember by connecting deeply and nurturing positive, life-giving relationships!

Because really? What else matters?
